So something new and exciting is coming to the Nintendo DS Lite. Guitar Hero:On Tour! So I bet you are all wondering, “Well how the hell are they going to do that?” Here is a picture to help you see…

Looks pretty neat! The side pad just plugs into your DS, and you are good to go.
The release date given is 06/15/2008. It was of course made by Activision and will feature songs we know and love by Nirvana, OK Go, and No Doubt.
Not all details of the game have been released but we do know Activision has said it will feature similar single player Career Mode, and you will be able to pick from 6 guitarists to play in the game!
Along with single player, there will also be multiplayer, which will feature co-op and competitive two player options! The Battle mode will be very similar to that of Guitar Hero 3.
Just another new and exciting thing coming into the gaming world!
Okay, this isn’t really about gaming, but it does involve a controller and a toy… so pretty close. Plus who doesn’t love toys? How would you like to play with this?

“After this, you’ll never have the same mental image when hearing remote controlled car again. Ever. Resident engineer and all around madman Dr. James Brighton took a break from his rigorous teaching duties at Cranfield University and whipped up a RC Hummer H3 — as in, the man converted an actual Hummer H3 into a remotely controlled toy. Amazingly, the conversion was completed in just a month, and it’s reportedly able to “climb a 407-millimeter vertical wall, traverse a 40-percent side slope and operate in up to 610-millimeters of water.”
Wow!

So we know “console wars” have been going on since consoles even existed. If you don’t know what “console wars” is, it’s basically people arguing about which consoles they prefer and think are better. I personally think they are all great, and have their own unique features. But I am not here to argue about which I think are the best, and I probably will never do that. But I do want to talk about the one that has been left out a lot when it comes to gaming, but is all of a sudden getting a lot of attention… the Wii!
Since the release of Super Smash Bros Brawl the Wii is in the spotlight right now, and I am excited. I feel the Wii has been underestimated and is kind of left out in the gaming community. I think Nintendo did a great thing going outside of their comfort zone and risking a lot with this new technology that could revolutionize gaming. What is not to really love about the Wii?
I like it because it isn’t just for the hardcore gamer. Everyone enjoys it! It fondly reminds me of the days when all the neighborhood would be gathered in a basement playing Super Mario on the NES. It is so great because I can get other people to game with me who wouldn’t normally with other consoles. My friends, my family, and I can still pwn my brother at it too.
Did you also know that some nursing homes are getting Wii’s because it’s a fun and good way for the old folks to get excersize? I think that’s great! When I am old, I would want some games like that to play! I also think it is good for all of us. Wii Sports, and Wii Fit get us up off the couch and moving around a bit.
I guess what I am trying to say is, I know some of you Gamers have set aside your Wii and it is collecting dust. (I have heard from you myself.) But dust it off and play it! I think more great things are to come from it!
I am so excited! This is one of the games I am dying to play soon… and this is a new trailer released today from Korea.
So here I am giving you a first look at the Zerg Alien Race… w00t!
Okay guys… I have heard so much negativity and annoyance taken out on each other lately, that I decided things have got to change. I am going to try to get something going that I will need a lot of outside help with, but it only takes one pebble falling to sometimes start a landslide.
I want to unite us all in the gaming community. Gamers United, to help spread positivity in gaming. Aren’t you all tired of hearing about all this violence being blamed on video games? Aren’t you tired of people in the community constantly putting others down? Aren’t you tired of all this hashing out against one another when we could be having fun and playing games?
Let’s make a stand together then! People are constantly complaining about what is going on right now in the gaming world, so here is a chance to stop it. I just threw this banner together, but I would love for others to get creative and make their own too! Send them too me and I will add them along with this one!

If you choose to sport this banner on your pwned profile, myspace, or any other website here are some things you must agree to and try to do.
-We are ALL GAMERS, not “Girl Gamers,” not “Guy Gamers.” If you enjoy video games, no matter how frequently you play them, you are a GAMER. Anyone who claims to be a GAMER is until proven otherwise. You do not have to take gaming very seriously or compete in competitions to be a GAMER. You do not have to like certain games to be a GAMER.
- Help spread positivity and fun back into gaming. Try to end the prejudice, racism, and very foul frequent language that occurs. Normal trash talk and taunting is fun and okay, but we all know there is a line you should try not to cross.
-Be open to others to join the community! The more the merrier, and more people that can help others be less ignorant about gaming.
-Stop the stereotypes. Not all gamers are “nerdy” or “fat.” Not all females who play games are “ugly” or “attention whores.” Also females, drop the bitchiness toward one another and support and have fun together. Let’s try to treat each other as equals.
I know a lot of this sounds corny, but a lot of people keeps complaining about what has been going on in our communities right now and these are the changes that need to happen. We need more blogs about cool games, and funny stories about pwning people rather than about all the negativity that has been going on.
Gamers Unite!
I think I am going to take the day off from writing and game today…
Maybe i’ll have something for you tomorrow.

There is the huge rumor that the company Blizzard is thinking about releasing another MMO, unrelated to Warcraft. With Starcraft 2 in the works right now, wouldn’t it make sense if they made Diablo into an MMO, and how awesome would that be?!
I have been a fan of playing Diablo 1&2 since when they came out, and I still play Diablo 2 on Battle.net. I honestly think Diablo is one of the greatest games ever. I would be so excited if Blizzard decided to turn it into an MMORPG.
But some questions come to my mind as I think about it. Such as, how would they do factions or PvP. As the game is now, where you can play it online thanks to Battle.net it is basically you against everyone. It seems like they would take a different path then the one on Diablo 2 right now because that would seem to get hectic.
Do you think they would have factions? I am not sure! If I was one of the game developers, I would probably make it to where you could choose any race/class you wanted and then choose if you wanted to be sided with Heaven or Hell… or maybe you could choose as you progress into the game? Hmm… that would be neat! I just know I would probably play an Amazon.
Anyways, I have heard it is just a rumor, but even the possibility of it excites me, and we all know how Blizzard likes to keep things hushed up! I honestly think it could do even better then World of Warcraft. Reasons being, MMO’s are such a HUGE thing now, and Diablo 2 is viewed as one of the greatest games of all time.

We all know that our gaming world is turning a new page at this point, and even to me it feels like a lot of stuff is still changing as we go into new chapters. Gaming has progressed so much over the years. Think back to playing Atari where you had 2 lines that you bounced a ball back and forth with. Then think about what it is today, and how it has changed us and progressed through the years.
Most changes were great! Games are so much more fun and intense now. But some also not so great, at least in my opinion. The internet + gaming combined brought out some behavior in gamers which at times can be quite appalling. (Which I covered 2 blogs ago.) Gaming in itself has become it’s own society of people. Did we see that coming when we were sitting around playing Pong? Most of us… probably not, and I sit here and wonder what new exciting things are waiting for us in the future!
So, I sit here and think about it, and I am wondering about you guys, my fellow gamers, and wonder what changes and new exciting things you would like to see happen to the gaming world. Here are few thoughts of my own.
MMO’s- Ohh yes! I love my MMORPG’s (Mass Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game’s.) I am so excited to think about what the future holds for these type of games. Some things I think we can learn from the past…
Okay, I will use World of Warcraft as an example. While, I still love and play this game some, I look back and honestly think a lot of it was a huge waste of my time and money. I remember at one time being so addicted. It was so much fun when it first came out, but it is such a time consuming game I barely touched any other games about over a year, which makes me very sad. It just felt like it took so much time to do anything remotely fun in that game.
Comparing that to Lord of the Rings Online, my favorite MMO I have played. Turbine took a much more casual route with that game. They designed it to where you could sit down for 10 minutes or up to all day and you can still have fun! I don’t know how they exactly did it, but that is the way I feel about it. Also, the player base as a whole seems to be a lot more mature in LotRO and I do enjoy that a lot too. I could play LotRO for a while, get stuff done and have a great time, then move on to another game when I felt like it. It was really nice.
Which brings me to my other point… supply more for the casual gamers! I don’t know how many times I have told someone to try this or that game out, and they look at it and say,”Ohh, I don’t know when I will have time to do that.” While I myself am not even close to being a casual gamer, I just wish it could be somehow less time consuming so more people could get into it. Gaming industries need to look at people and realize most do have lives, and make games that work around that also. It is hugely centered around competitions, and “being the best” that some people who want to play casually are hesitant to even get into gaming.
Also…Don’t take away single-player games! Gaming has been shifting more and more to the internet, that I have been afraid one day that is all it will become. There is nothing I enjoy more after a long day then sitting down in a quiet spot and playing something by myself. I don’t have to listen to people constantly, and I can just relax and have fun on my own.
Okay, one last thought to wrap this all up. I wish more gaming companies would be more brave and take more chances then they do, rather then to just appeal to what we already know and like. I will give credit to Nintendo for not being like this though.
With the PS3 and XBox360, they gave us just that, and it was in their comfort zone. (I love them both still…don’t get me wrong.) But Nintendo came out with this new cool thing that could revolutionize gaming, the Wii. I personally think the Wii is underrated, and I congratulate Nintendo for coming up with this and going outside of their comfort zone to give us something new and exciting that makes us see what is possible in the future.
Anyways, those are just a few thoughts I have. I would love to hear what you guys would love to see in the future, so be sure to share your own wishes and ideas.

I know most of you have some sort of caffeine beverage you consume to keep up your wits and energy in the gaming world… but have you ever wondered how much it would take to kill you?
Now that question can be answered! All you do is put in your weight + they have a large variety of coffees and energy drinks to choose from on the list. The results are quite suprising!

My favorite drink is Red Bull and I weigh 99 lbs. So it would take exactly 84.46 cans to kill me. Haha, I think I would throw up before fitting 84 cans in my stomach!
What would it take to kill you?
